Life is not the end. It is means to an end. The ultimate end is Realisation of God. Life is purposeless and a waste if not utilised for God-realisation. The body is given to us for using it as a vehicle for the indwelling jeeva to attain self realisation. Human birth is praised as the best creation because man alone can think and attain Him.
Because this world in which we are born is full of misery, every object here is fleeting. Nothing in this world will give permanent satisfaction or happiness. God- realisation alone is the permanent solution - remover of all miseries. Sarva-Duhkha-Nivarani.
