GOOD THOUGHTS

Dear friends,

GOOD THOUGHTS MAKE US GOOD MEN -  NANGANALLUR  J K SIVAN

Let me remind you once again that we are the product of our own thoughts. Obviously therefore  our thoughts need to be good.   When we are awake,  our thoughts go around many things, events, families, issues, future, money, office and what not. The thoughts  drive us to take action on many of them right or wrong and  leave us to meet with our destiny sooner or later.

So it becomes absolutely necessary to  probe first and ascertain what are the  factors which govern our thoughts. It  will help us to purify our thoughts to result in action.  Good thoughts  bring out good action, which make us ultimately  good men.

Our minds become broadened  by our education. More education means more knowledge. Education  with the combination of experience,   no doubt would  bring about  healthy mental development. The quality of our thoughts have direct link with our education. Good knowledge greatly helps our thoughts to be good.  It refreshes our brain cells and helps us to gain postitive energy.  Every day we therefore have to  learn something new..  I gather a lot of such interesting information and feed our friends in Facebook, whatsapp, Telegram, through email and my blog etc.,

Desire is the worst enemy ruining our self development and killing the  good thoughts.  Our life becomes miserable because of the numerous  desires we entertain. Through them, we engage ourselves  to do back-biting, lying, deceiving, stealing, fraud, bribery, various forms of corruption, etc.    Controlling the desire is a must and we should be intelligent enough to identify which are  healthy and genuine desires, which when linked with positive thoughts and actions would make us successful, lovable good citizens..

How we are brought up  by our parents is another important factor.  If we were brought up  in  a very healthy physical and mental family environment we are fortunate.   Our mental growth has a strong bearing on all the events which took place in our  childhood, teenage and  now in our day today life.

We  all know that  we have no control over the past.   We cannot go back to  relive  our past  or  change our brought up and environment.  All that we can do is at best, to  identify and drop the negative part of our thoughts and stick to the positive ones.

Good company is a must. (family & friends). It will certainly make our life happy. A mature 'human environment' is an indication of healthy mental growth.  We should   associate ourselves  with  positive, fun-loving, friendly, optimistic, constructive, cheerful and bright people,  so that  the  brain is free from stress.   The brain will then start working on positive thoughts.  We  should always endeavour to  create  a  happy environment when we are with family members, cracking jokes, listening empathically to what they express  et.  This helps divert the brain towards positive feelings and hence our upcoming thoughts would be mature, positive and stress-free.

Good and bad things happen to everyone.  There is a maxim which says '' life is 20% what happens to us and 80% how we react to it''.  Let us treat every challenge we face as  a new adventure and try to adopt a positive approach for a safe exit.

Circumstances can be controlled by associating  with positive people, behaving good with others, taking corrective and preventive measures for any mishaps.   In the circumstances  stated above, it is clear that the  quality of our thoughts determines the level of peace of mind. Good thoughts result in good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit. So every seed of thought matters.
Remember this:
Small minds think and discuss about people, average minds think and discuss about events, higher minds think and discuss about ideas and great mind actually execute & innovate in silence.
If you are  impressed with the above  observations  you are free to circulate to your contacts and friends also for their benefit.
