KRISHNA - 3

KRISHNA - 3 J.K. SIVAN

If there is a book which gives explicit description and record of the brilliance of Krishna as a rare personality, it is only Mahabharatha. Mahabharatha and Ramayana are the two eyes of Hindus. Both speak volumes of the incarnations of Maha Vishnu.

In Mahabharatha, Krishna plays a vital role. He is the Suthradhari, the main player and central character of the great epic.

In Mahabharatha, in the Bhishma Parva, there are 18 chapters representing the marvellous Bhagavath Gita, It is in the form of advice given by Krishna to the Pandava warrior Arjuna, on the battle field Kurukshetra.

Krishna is a matured adult when he advices Arjuna at the battle field in Mahabharatha, whereas in Hari vamsa, the later addition to this great epic Mahabharatha gives full details of Krishna's childhood days and adventures at Gokulam and Brindhavan and at Mathura when he was grown up and able to kill the demon king Kamsa.
