I thank every one of you, who has been with us mentally and physically on Sunday, the 12th of November, 2017 from 8am to 8 pm, when we spent A DAY WITH DAMODARA at Sri Uththara Guruvayurappan Askthika Samaja Naryana Pravachana Mandapam, Nanganallur, Chennai 61.
A remarkable feature is upto 7.30 am and after 8.00 pm there was rain and NO RAIN DURING THE TIME HIS DAY WAS CELEBRATED. He protected us remembering His role of protecting the residents of Brindhavan by lifting the natural umbrella of Govardhana giri.
Damodara was felt and smelt in the form of songs, bhajans, slokas, songs,lectures both by small children and erudite scholars on Krishna & Mahabharatham, a thematic Krishna Dance, an interesting quiz on Mahabharatha characters, Flute recital on Krishna, release of book on Mahabharatham, speeches on Krishna by special invitees, thanks giving to all those who contributed and donated for SKSS and special pooja and naivedhyam to the Lord Damodara, special lunch for Krishna devotees in the afternoon etc., and distribution of prasadh to all along with some DWARKADEESH PRASAD directly from Dwarka, which arrived on the day.
A very important fact and miracle to remember and thank Him is the absence of rain parlticularly between 8 am to 8pm on the day, and the receipt of the image of Lord Krishna as He was decorated and dressed at His temple at Dwarka on sunday 12.11.17, Our main donor and contributor Mr. Sanjay of Gujarat went and prayed to Lord Dwarkadeesh for the success of the function and took a phtograh of the Lord Dwarkadeesh for us to see and pray. He was kind enough to air parcel a few packets of DWARKADEESH PRASAD which were distributed to those who were fortunate to receive same.
The special book on Mahabharatha for children in Tamil, in art paper, with multicolor picture, in two volumes of about 500 pages each,is available for distribution to those interested to teach their children or for their children to readl and enjoy the narration in the form of stories representing the lakhs of slokas of Vedha Vyasa written by him in Sanskrit. It is available at subsidised cost representing the printing cost only. As usual the proceeds will be used for bringing out more future publications for children.
