SKSS DIARY 12.2.2018. Entering ''MITHILA'' to perform the ''DOUBLE DELIGHT'' celebrations program of 50th Wedding Anniversary Golden Jubilee of Smt & Sri Keeranur Ramamurthi & Release of Sri Keeranur Ramamurthi's book ''KAMBAN KANDA RAMAN'' , THE 33RD PUBLICATION OF SKSS.
RECALLING THE HAPPY ''DOUBLE DELIGHT'' EVENT ON 12.2.18 - J.K. SIVAN
Sree Krishnarpanam Seva Society is fortunate in having a set of dedicated workers as their office bearers, associates and advisers, as otherwise we would not have been able to publish and release 33 books in just 4 years besides conducting many programs for children, ladies and seniors.
Regrettably, our President Sril Keeranur Ramamurthi has been suffering of late with indifferent health necessitating repeated hospitalisation in and around Nanganallur which made him cut short his discourses and confine him to bed for a long time.
It has been his chrished desire to bring out his book on Ramayana and his efforts elsewhere did not materialise. He discussed with us and we readily obliged to publish his book and he financially assisted in doing so in spite of his increased medical expenses.
Incidentally Smt and Sri Keeranur Ramamurthi this year were planning to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary (Golden Jubilee) on 12.2.2018 and we offered to present his book on Ramayana to be released in commemoration of the grand and memorable event. His health unfortunately was not good and he had to be hospitalsed again nearer to the grand occasion.
By Lord Rama's grace he was able to sit on his wheel chair, miraculously for about 45 minutes on 12.2.18 when we went ahead with the twin event of celebrating his wedding golden jubilee anniversary and the release of his first book on Ramayana ''KAMBAN KANDA RAMAN''
Coincidently Keeranur Ramamurthi couple's wedding golden jubilee celebrations were held in the hall in Nanganallur named ''MITHILA'' the name connected with Rama & Seetha's wedding.
Everything went on well as per his wish and our prayers to Lord Krishna was answered to enable Sri Keeranur Ramamurthi to remain in the hall without much strain and difficulty for acknowledging and reciprocating the good wishes poured on the Golden Jubilee wedded couple between 6 and 8 pm.
The 'Double Delight' program was well organised as scheduled and planned by SKSS on 12.2.18. It started with a prayer song of Bhadrachalam Ramadas on Rama, sung by the Chairman of SKSS, Sri J.K.Sivan. Professor K.Sundararajan introduced and invited the distinguished guests to the dais..
It was indeed a miracle that Lord Rama granted Sri Keeranur Ramamrlthi, adequate strength to sit on the wheel chair for nearly 45 minutes to receive the best wishes and compliments from all in connection with the Golden Jubilee Wedding Anniversary of the couple and maiden book release, and to thank everyone for same for the unbroken 45 minutes or so . He could not move on to the dais. Sri Sundaram Ramachandran, the Secretary of SKSS, delivered his welcome address and outlined the progress and future plans of SKSS. Major VV Chandrasekaran, of SKSS proposed the vote of thanks.
The hall ''MITHILA'' was filled with well wishers and friends when the book ''KAMBAN KANDA RAMAN'' was released by Sri Rani Maindan, well known writer and speaker and the first copy was received by Sri Navalpakkam Narasimhan, well known Srivaishnava Scholar and speaker, and
Many Tamil scholars, welll known writers and speakers, who are friends of Sri Keeranur Ramamurthi and associated with him in his literary pursuit were invited and honoured by presentation of SKSS mementos to mark the occasion . A delicious dinner for all to partake, was organised following the conclusion of the program. A copy of the book released was distributed free of cost to everyone present. The happiness of the participants in the attached photo album would vouchsafe the joyous occasion we all enjoyed
