ABHIVADHANAM. - J K SIVAN
A couple of days ago I wrote about performing Abhivaadhanam to elders as directed in Vedhas and traditional practice.
The text of Abhivadhanam leaving blank the names of rishis, gothram..suthram... name..... is given below for those Saivites and Vaishnavites to note and follow. You would have observed that this blessing mantra is usually heard in all weddings and worshipping places and religiopus functions and rituals in our day to day life .
Many of us do not care to know or learn the meaning of what this manthra says. We simply hear it partly with no interest and ignore as we take it as a formal blessing with some good wishes, not worth taking note of.
