KNOW OUR HINDUISM 1 J K SIVAN
Our Hinduism is not any religion. It is a way of life, which is indestructible as proven by a long history of failure by various invaders and religious fanatics trying to destroy it. Let every one of us be proud of our Sanathana Dharmic pursuit, which is a combination of Science and Spirituality.
Nothing exists without spirituality in it and our way of worship is not created by any one as its creator, prophet, or messiah as in other religions. Every Hindu is spiritual in his custom and normal life.
Do you this sloka which explains how we educate and learn in Hinduism?
Achaaryaath paadam aadatthe
paadam sishya swamedhayaa
paadam sa brahmachaaribhya
sesham kaala kramena cha
Our smrithy ,scripts, expain very clearly, that one quarter of our education is learnt through our Acharyas, teachers. One quarter we learn by our understanding through sef analysis. The third quarter of education and knowledge is through discussions with fellow Brammacharis, students, colleagues etc. and finally the last quarter is through persona experience in life. .
Aachaaraath labhathe hi ayu:
aachaaraath dhanamakshayam
aachaaraath labhathe suprajaa:
aachaaro ahanthya lakshanam
Aachaaraas are disciplines followed by the Hindus, for the psychological , physiological health and long life as prescribed by the holy scripts. By following them one becomes prosperous, wealthy and healthy. Such acharas unite us, promotes social bondage.
Just lighting a lamp in front of the deity, in the form of a picture or idol at home after taking bath brings immence internal happiness and inexplicable joy. All Hindu functions commence after lighting a lamp. Light denotes knowledge, removal of ignorance The soul inside us is recognized as Athma Jothi, illuminating Knowledge.
The vast accumulation of negative thoughts within us is known as Vasanas, which is symbolized by the lamp. Our Ego is the wick in the lamp which is to be burnt always. Spiritual knowledge, which when lit the vasanas melt and exhausted and removed. Is not the lamp’s light is upward!! What more explanation is needed?

Deepajyothi parabrahma
Deepa sarva tamopahaha
Deepena saadhyate saram
Sandhyaa deepo namostute
