ACT OF GOD J K SIVAN
First of all what we refer to as 'our actions'' are really ''God's actions''. He motivates His actions through us. It covers all the actions by sentient and insentient beings and things performing their respective tasks. This is God's arrangement?
All of us are ''sentient'' beings always aiming for higher state and result. But it is dependent on our achievements based on our efforts.,which are not uniform and steady because the conditions governing our performance are different. Only a few of us are not affected by conditions in which they are placed and perform, and they therefore ensure certain uniformity. Our goals always vary. Even if all beings have the same intention yet their efforts are of different degrees, and so their states. The effort we put in varies according to our individual mental and physical capacity. Our action reflects our body and mind. The environment may also play a supporting role to our action. All these are different factors for each and everyone. Control over these ensures uniformity in our acion. Another fact to remember is that even if the body, the mind and the environment remain same to perform the task, it will not be the sme because of the incapacity. The cause is ''ego.'', Freedom from ego makes one the representative of God, Through him God fulfills the purpose of His creation. Therefore it explains that all actions are God's.

Our ancient Rishis and sages were such persons who were aware that all actions are God's, and made it known to others . It greatly helps us to realise that there is no greater good than to know that all actions are God's and not our own. This knowledge contains all the blessings in itself. Therefore the intention of the sages is to clearly instruct others in the knowledge of God and His actions. Even so, they do not say "Know God this very instant," . Instead they teach the ways and means to knowledge and encourage us in right conduct leaving us to pursue it. It is not possible for the common people. Because the sages are free from the ego and think, "God knows what He should do and when to do it.
This is what Gita exactly declares ''Let us only do our work, without any interest in the fruits this work may produce''. The sages knew that God alone dispenses the fruits of actions. Simply they watch the course of events in the world and do their work, never thinking of creating a world of their own. Why? To do so otherwise would be a a form of egoism. The creation is as it should be. Everything is in order. All actions are God's.
There is nothing like doing something dear to our hearts. There is no limit to it. Do the work simply as a duty. This is what is doing work without looking for its fruits."

Whatever takes place, it is in the natural order of things. Also, it is right. Everything happens by His will alone. In truth, it is not wrong to think "He makes the thief steal." Why? Because at the time of punishment He also makes the thief suffer for the robbery. Thus, there should be no ill-will directed towards the thief.Such is the fruit of the knowledge that all actions are God's. Although there is no ill will towards the thief, there is a dislike of theft. This is also the result of our knowledge that all actions are God's. How is this? Because the thief himself dislikes theft: Would he keep quiet if his own belongings were stolen by another? He would not. Who can be unaware that good is right and evil is wrong?
Therefore the knowledge that all actions are God's will bring into the world an era of orderly conduct. Our knowledge does not extend further. We can repeat only what we know.We need not worry about what lies beyond our knowledge. This too is God's will.
It must be realised that the fruits of our actions are not always according to our desire. Our powers are limited,

The law which applies to us, applies to insentient objects also. Our law is no better than theirs. All is one. Even though
some do not admit that all actions are God's, yet they admit their own incapacity This itself is the act of God.
